In a globalized world, the need for fast, secure, and accessible notarization is more important than ever—especially for individuals living outside of the United States who require official U.S. notarizations. Remote Online Notarization (RON) is transforming how we notarize documents, removing barriers of distance and time zones, and seamlessly tying into our certified translation and apostille services.
At Sheridan Notary Services, we focus on providing secure, remote notarizations that help clients around the world complete their legal and administrative processes efficiently and with confidence.
What is Remote Online Notarization (RON)?
Remote Online Notarization allows you to get your documents legally notarized through a secure, video-based session—no matter where you are in the world. This virtual approach is fully recognized by many U.S. states, including Oklahoma, where our notary is commissioned.
Whether you're living abroad, traveling, or simply can’t attend an in-person appointment, RON provides a trusted solution to get your documents notarized without leaving your home.
Why RON Matters — Especially for International Clients
RON is especially valuable for international clients who:
Need U.S. notarization for immigration, legal, or business documents
Are completing translations and apostille services
Cannot be physically present in Oklahoma or anywhere in the United States
By combining RON with our certified translation and apostille services, you get access to a complete, start-to-finish solution—where one provider manages your entire document workflow.
Step-by-Step: How the RON Process Works
Here’s what to expect when you schedule a Remote Online Notarization with us:
Initial Contact Reach out via phone, email, or our website. Let us know what document(s) you need notarized and whether you’ll also need translation or apostille services.
Quote and Session Scheduling We’ll provide a clear quote and help you choose a convenient time for your RON session.
Secure Document Upload You’ll send us the document(s), and we’ll create your profile in our secure portal.
Portal Link & Identity Verification You’ll receive a link to access the session. Before joining, you must complete:
Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) — A short quiz based on your credit history.
ID Upload — You must upload a valid, government-issued ID.
Live Notarization Session Once verified, you’ll enter the live video session where we’ll complete the notarization together.
Receive Your Notarized Document After the session, you’ll automatically receive the signed and notarized document via email.
Optional: Translation & Apostille Services If your document needs to be translated, we can take care of that. If it requires an apostille or authentication for international use, we can handle that as well.
Interpreter Support Available
For clients who need assistance in another language, we offer interpreter services to ensure everything is clearly understood during the notarization process.
Accepted Forms of ID for Online Notarizations
To comply with legal requirements, we accept only the following valid, government-issued identification:
